Chipperfield introduces a series of details that make the Moka design new and even more functional, such as the flat lid on which to place the cups to be heated - allowing optimum enjoyment of the aroma and flavour of the drink. "What does redesigning the Moka mean, maybe just improving what it already is?" David Chipperfield started from this question to develop his design, with a desire to design a popular, simple and familiar object just like the first espresso maker invented in the early 1900s by Alfonso Bialetti, Alberto Alessi's maternal grandfather. A tribute that is enriched with innovative formal and functional solutions, starting with the eleven-sided body, passing through the anti-drip spout to arrive at the particularly convenient and practical knob and handle.
