Il Tornitore Matto by Alessi alla Milano Design Week 2025 con The Last Pot

At the heart of the 2025 Milan Design Week, Il Tornitore Matto by Alessi returns to surprise with a profound exploration of the meaning of design and memory.Following the success of the first collection, the second chapter of this journey is embodied in The Last Pot a new collection of funerary urns designed by 10 international designers.

Design as a Celebration of Life

The idea stems from a reflection on one of the most ancient and universal objects: the container. For centuries, design has focused on creating functional and beautiful objects to accompany daily life. With The Last Pot, this exploration extends to the final container, one destined to hold the memory of those who are no longer with us.

The Designers

The collection, curated by Alberto Alessi and developed in collaboration with Giulio Iacchetti, features an eclectic selection of designers from all over the world: Michael Anastassiades, Philippe Starck, David Chipperfield, Naoto Fukasawa, Daniel Libeskind, EOOS, Mario Tsai, Audrey Large, Michele De Lucchi, and Giulio Iacchetti himself. Each designer has interpreted the idea personally, creating pieces that blend aesthetics and symbolism.
